Weather-based market signals

Indoor skin-drying stress forecasts for marketers.

Bring the audiences and goals you already know. Let your AI assistant examine our daily forecasts. You decide where and when to act.

The Dry Skin Index (DSI) uses outdoor weather and water-vapor thermodynamics to forecast indoor drying stress across U.S. metro areas.

Environmental forecasts, not observations of anyone's skin or predictions of campaign performance.

Forecast products

One pilot forecast for decisions about place and timing.

DSI estimates modeled indoor drying stress on a 0-10 scale. Compare daily values and seven-day summaries across supported markets. The search outlooks below are research signals and are not included in the trial.

Daily Metro DSI Forecast

Available in the controlled Preview trial

A seven-day, 0-10 forecast of modeled indoor drying stress. Compare daily values, mean and peak DSI, cumulative stress above DSI 4, or a metro-level 65+ population-weighted summary.

Coverage
371 U.S. Census metro areas
Timing
Issued daily, usually by 12:35 UTC; seven days ahead
Access
Forecast page, CSV, REST API and read-only MCP

Dry-Skin Search Outlook

Internal review only - not included in the trial

A weekly forecast of normalized dry-skin search interest. This potential human-response signal reflects more than weather; it is not a search-count, sales or audience forecast.

Coverage
49 eligible Google Trends metro regions
Timing
Sunday-Saturday week, revised daily
Access
Customer release decision pending

Humidifier Search Outlook

Internal review only - not included in the trial

A separate weekly forecast of normalized humidifier search interest for brands that sell humidifiers. It may reflect dry-air conditions and other influences; it is not interchangeable with the dry-skin outlook.

Coverage
43 eligible Google Trends metro regions
Timing
Sunday-Saturday week, revised daily
Access
Customer release decision pending

Each daily DSI issue is current for 24 hours and carries an issue ID and dates; if a new issue is late, the forecast page and API say so instead of presenting an expired issue as current. Population weighting is a metro-level comparison, not a measure of individual exposure. Search interest does not establish that drying stress caused a search. DSI uses U.S. Census metro areas; search outlooks use different Google Trends metro regions, so their region codes are not directly comparable.

Your own AI assistant

Explore the forecasts with your own assistant.

Connect a compatible assistant with brand sign-in. Ask it about the products available to your brand, the markets you already reach, and where modeled drying stress is higher or lower in the latest issue. Your team and agency keep the audience strategy, creative and budget decisions.

A question to ask your AI agent after connecting

Using Dermal Vectors, list the forecast products available to our brand. For the markets in our current plan, show the latest seven-day Dry Skin Index forecast; ask me which markets if you do not know. Cite the issue ID, forecast dates, values, and measure used. Explain higher and lower modeled drying stress as context for questions to test alongside our existing audience and campaign plan. Do not change campaigns or predict results.

The assistant receives read-only access to released products for your brand. The full current forecast remains behind trial or subscription access.

Pilot access

A 14-day trial guided by your marketing questions.

Use released forecasts to examine your own markets, compare timing and exposure measures, and design tests with your AI assistant. Your questions need not follow a fixed city list. API and AI assistant forecast reads count toward the brand's shared allowance; website browsing is separate and there are no automatic overage charges.

  1. 1. Create a brand workspaceThe brand owner manages access for the team and its AI apps.
  2. 2. Start the 14-day trialNo card is required. The trial ends automatically; a $249 monthly subscription (plus applicable tax) needs separate consent, and the brand owner can cancel it in the Stripe billing portal, with access through the paid period.
  3. 3. Connect your assistantApprove read-only forecast access for your brand.
  4. 4. Explore your marketsReview cited forecast values with your existing audience and campaign plans.

For a structured first exercise, the brand owner can also pin an optional ten-metro comparison: five higher-stress and five lower-stress metros matched by total population.

Launch plan and allowances

The $249 USD monthly plan per brand includes Daily Metro DSI Forecast, Dry-Skin Search Outlook, Humidifier Search Outlook, plus applicable tax. The same bundle is included in the 14-day no-card trial. Continued access requires a separately accepted subscription; the trial never becomes paid automatically.

API and AI assistant allowances, shared per brand
Allowance14-day trialPaid plan
Forecast reads per month1,00010,000
Data returned per month250 MB2 GB
Product/location lookups per month2,00010,000
Requests per minute3060

Monthly allowances reset on the first of each month at 00:00 UTC, separately from your billing date. A trial crossing that date receives the new month's allowance while active. Starting a subscription within a month raises the limits; that month's trial usage still counts.

All AI apps and API keys share these allowances across REST and MCP. Browsing forecasts on this website and reading the data dictionary do not count. A request can return many locations for one forecast read. Further requests for filters, rankings or earlier issues count separately.

Read and data-volume limits apply independently. Reaching either monthly limit pauses forecast requests until reset; reaching the minute limit requires a short wait. There are no automatic overage charges. Agents should reuse downloaded results when appropriate.

This Preview is a controlled pilot: agent access is limited to an approved test brand. The DSI forecast is the current pilot product; search outlooks remain internal review only.

Why indoor drying stress?

The weather-to-indoor connection is the basis of the forecast.

The Dry Skin Index models the drying potential of representative indoor air from outdoor weather inputs. Its thermodynamic basis is the chemical potential of water vapor, which describes the driving force for moisture movement. Temperature and moisture matter together. DSI describes environmental stress, not a measurement inside a customer's home or of their skin.
